In a primetime showdown, signal-caller Brock Purdy turned in a historic outing, tossing a career-best five touchdown passes to propel his team to a commanding 48-27 victory. The victorious effort was capped off by a crucial 74-yard pick-six for a score.

Scoring Fireworks Lead the Way

His primary weapons included star running back Christian McCaffrey, who rushed for 117 yards on 21 carries and also caught six passes for 29 yards and two touchdowns. Tight end George Kittle also had a big night, securing seven receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown.

Postseason Landscape Taking Shape

With this result, the victors extended their positive run to five consecutive games, solidifying their position in the hunt for a high postseason berth. This triumph also snapped a five-game streak against this specific rival.

The visiting quarterback, making his second appearance after a five-year absence, put up a valiant effort, passing for 277 yards and two touchdowns. However, a late turnover taken to the house ultimately decided the contest.
